How data reaches us
This website collects and stores no personal data: there is no database and no form that sends information to this domain. The "Request an appointment" form composes a message and opens the email program on your device: the message is sent from your own address and reaches Dr Villa like any other email. The same applies to phone, WhatsApp and email: those communications stay with the respective services, under their own terms and privacy notices.
Purposes and legal basis
The information you provide is used only to answer your request, arrange an appointment and manage related communications. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into an agreement (Art. 6.1.b GDPR). Health information is not needed for a first contact: if you choose to include it, processing is based on your explicit consent (Art. 9.2.a GDPR) and, once treatment begins, on preventive medicine and diagnosis (Art. 9.2.h GDPR).
Who sees your request
Only Dr Franco Villa has access to the requests sent through the channels listed on this website. The front desks of the practices where he works neither receive nor process these communications.
Patients under 18
Requests concerning patients under 18 must be sent by a parent or legal guardian, who also attends the first visit.
Retention and recipients
Communications are kept for as long as needed to handle the request. If you become a patient, clinical records are retained as required by the professional obligations that apply. The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which as a technical provider processes connection data (IP address, date and time of the request) needed to serve the pages and keep them secure.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses no analytics, profiling or marketing tools: no non-essential cookies are set, so no prior consent is required. The Google map on the locations page is not loaded when the page opens: a placeholder is shown instead and no data reaches Google until you press "Show the map". From that point the map is third-party content: your IP address is disclosed to Google, which may set its own cookies. The "Get directions" links open Google Maps in a new window, where Google’s own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to processing where applicable, by emailing the controller. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
